HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | DOWN SOUTH : TAMIL Tamil remake of 'Main Hoon Na' set for Diwali release14th Oct 2008 12.00 IST By ApunKaChoice The runaway Bollywood blockbuster Main Hoon Na is being remade in Tamil and is likely to hit the theatres around Diwali. The Tamil remake is titled ‘Aegan’, which is also another name of Lord Shiva. The movie stars Ajith and Nayantara in leading roles. In the Hindi flick by director Farah Khan , Shahrukh Khan and Sushmita Sen played the main roles. 
The buzz from Kollywood is that the film is almost ready. Only one song remained to be shot. Director Raju Sundaram initially thought of shooting the song in Chennai but later opted for Swiss Alps as the song’s backdrop. The story of ‘Aegan’ stays loyal to that of ‘Main Hoon Na’ but its screenplay has been altered and modified to suit Tamil sensibilities. The movie’s music, very central to the original film, has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Now, the post production work is being completed on ‘Aegan’ to meet the deadline of its release.
